Lemon and Lime Ice Cream
This is a fabulously zingy and tangy lemon lime ice cream recipe, super fresh from the citrus and without the need for a custard. It is super easy to make.

Frozen Raspberry Daiquiri
This recipe for a frozen daiquiri is a homemade slush puppy really. It's fabulously bright pink, heady with raspberries and with a sharpness from the lime.

Caldo Verde
This recipe proves the point that the sum is greater than the parts. Who knew that potatoes, kale, chorizo, a little garlic and water could produce something so hearty, full of flavour and satisfying. This is what to make when you only have a few hardy winter vegetables to hand and a crowd to feed. Easy, cheap and fabulous.

Cheese Sables with Rosemary Salt
Can there be anything more fantastically savoury and moreish to have with a cocktail than a little cheese biscuit? That tang and crunch just go perfectly. These are crisp and with a good bite from strong cheese and a kick from the cayenne. Make a load of these to stash away in your freezer, ready to whip out when entertaining over Christmas. As you can see from my photograph, I served these with a Negroni but naturally the choice of drink is up to you. Or serve them anytime you would like a snack -- my children love them!

Spiced Cherries in Bacon
This might sound like the craziest recipe in the world and you may well raise your eyebrows at me but seriously give them a go. They are sweet, savoury, tangy, salty juicy little bundles of deliciousness and so good with a cold glass of something and on that note if I could steer you towards my Sloe Vespa, the Christmas cocktail then all the better.
Roast Beetroot Soup
I love beetroot and eat it often, whether simply roasted and served with my beloved garlic yogurt, with a roast chicken or in salad with feta and watercress perhaps. Today though I decided on a soup. I had thoughts of something jazzier, adding a bit of this or that but in the end decided to keep it simple so the earthy sweet flavour of the beetroot could shine through and along with its majestic colour, create a lunch to make the soul soar.
Homemade Lemonade with Mint
The perfect quencher on a hot day. Nothing beats a zesty drink to cool and refresh when the sun is shimmering outside. Anything lemon based is ideal and here you have the option to add ginger or mint to make this even more fragrant and summery.

Kale, Mushrooms and Chilli on Sourdough Toast
I was in the farm shop yesterday and spotted some cavalo nero, that beautiful dark green Tuscan kale and it reminded me of a regular lunch last winter - kale, mushrooms and chilli on sourdough toast. As ever with kale you feel this is really doing you good, the chilli adds further pep. Cheap and delicious, a rewarding result.

Iced Tea Granita
What a lovely summer treat! This Tea Granita is so easy to make and has such a refreshing bite. I like that the recipe allows for creativity & personal taste.
