Chinese Steam Chicken
This is a Steamed Chicken Drumsticks recipe that comes from my Grandma. A versatile dish that is delicious the day of, the next day, or to eat cold as a snack.

Taiwanese Turnip Cake
I've seen the 2 generations of women in my house making turnip cake with their eyes closed, as I, myself, now living abroad, often miss my mom's turnip cake- steamed, sliced and pan fried until crispy on the exterior and bursting of daikon deliciousness in the middle. This recipe focuses on the shredded daikon, so try to buy fresh daikon: no additional cornstarch needed, nor chinese sausage, shiitake mushrooms etc. The secret? Letting the mixture sit overnight. Can be kept in the fridge up to 4 days.

Creamy Greek Yogurt
This is one of my favorite must-have ingredient in our house. I love the whole process, from the actual making of the yogurt to straining it for the thick creamy result. It is as rewarding as the smell of baked cookies and a well-risen loaf of bread. I use this for everything: breakfast, snack, appetizer dishes, and also makes a fabulous substitute for sour cream.

Scrambled Ricotta with Chorizo and Bell Pepper
The best thing after a long night of celebration is the big breakfast. I wanted to step out of the typical breads, eggs and bacon breakfast but still keep it satisfying; then I remembered my Indian teacher’s variations in using Ricotta- a great substitute for scrambled eggs. For the vegetarians out there: opt out the meat and put more veggies.
