Apple cider cocktail
This drink was inspired by an Apple Cider martini I sampled at our local farmers market and the tradition of a neighbor who offers hot spiked cider to parents of trick or treaters. I tried mixing cold sweet cider with vodka, rum or bourbon. All were good but I liked the Maker's Mark bourbon version best. I used a little cinnamon syrup to add extra sweetness and spice.
Peachy sweet wings
I was given this recipe 20 years ago and used to make it for every party at my house, to rave reviews. Although one ingredient is Peach Baby food, not something most keep in their cupboard, you could substitute a peach puree or mashed canned peaches instead. I have also used a good thick, fruit sweetened peach preserves.
Strawberry and Hot Fudge Decadence
When you are dining alone and are in the mood for a decadent strawberry and choolcate dessert, this is the one to make. The hot fudge is created in a minute. You can dip the berries in the hot fudge or pour it over ice cream and top with sliced strawberries.
Bacon Wrapped Ramps
This is a great mix of flavors and textures. A perfect appetizer. Sweet, salty, curnchy and creamy. Makes 8 wraps, two per person.
