Royal Icing
When it comes to decorating sugar cookies, there’s nothing more iconic or festive than that thick, glossy royal icing. You'll want to mix the ingredients until they're fluffy, and until the icing flows fluidly from the whisk. Once it's the texture of hot fudge, it'll be ready to apply to your cookies. After it dries, at least an hour later, it’ll take on a matte, smooth appearance resembling an eggshell, a perfect canvas for your most inspired designs.

Easiest Dulce de Leche a la Bain-Marie
It is a rather hands-off recipe since the condensed milk browns nicely thanks to the Bain Marie. Pair it with toast, saltine crackers, or fresh apple slices!

5-Ingredient Jewish Asian Cabbage Soup
Tongue in cheek. I had a very small green cabbage in my refrigerator that was begging for some attention. A few weeks ago I made some delicious chicken stock in which I had added a 2-inch nugget of fresh ginger. For months I have been making foxesloveslemons' Korean meatballs and therefore had an ample supply of Gochujang sauce. Armed with these three main ingredients, I made a delicious cabbage soup in a matter of 30 minutes. The cabbage and chicken stock make up the Jewish part of this recipe - the Gochujang sauce and soy sauce the Asian. This is quick, with a spicy and hot undertone balanced by the sweetness of the raisins. This soup makes a great lunch or a good first course.

Apple Pie (Boozy Cider)
What is better than boozy apple cider on a chilly fall day? Nothing. As with all infusions, the better your base ingredients the better the outcome. If you can find Spirytus which is a polish liquor I highly recommend it.

Brown Sugar Marshmallows
Soft, pillowy clouds of happiness with just the slightest nuttiness from the dark brown sugar. Adapted from @kitchn (How To Make Fluffy Marshmallows)- Great space to learn new things! This is a very simplified take on marshmallows and takes a slightly casual approach to marshmallow making! This recipe is so customizable! Add spices and cocoa powder to the dusting mixture or replace the vanilla extract with a cheeky liqueur like Frangelico! If I can do it so can you! @freakinthekitchento

A Last Word cocktail, but with Champagne! Win-win.

Anchovy Buttered Cabbage
A small plate of handmade northern Italian pasta, bigoli en salsa, that I had at North and Navy inspired this concoction. The salsa originally consists of stewing pounds of white onions with olive oil, anchovies, and white wine until creamy. While it's a no-brainer to sub butter for olive oil, I'm not sure how I ended up using cabbage in place of onions and garlic instead of white wine. Anyhow, it ended up being two of the best decisions I've made in the kitchen.

Quinoa, Oat and Chia Porridge
This is a mixed grain porridge recipe flavoured with Vanilla and topped with Pear. This Oatmeal With Quinoa And Chia is delicious, hearty and good for you!

Grandma's Apple Crisp
This is one of my first dessert recipes I ever attempted, and it’s from my wonderful grandmother. She made this with the grandchildren in mind. There’s no oatmeal in this recipe. She knew we didn’t like it.

Red Kuri Squash Soup with Crispy Bulgur, Fennel Seeds & Curcuma
This soup is a celebration of all things Fall. A Red Kuri squash soup, that I cook really simply with no particular twist, I don’t feel that it really needs any. I just go creative on the toppings : crispy bulgur with curcuma and fennel seeds, it adds a little depth to the soup. If you like some heat, I recommend also adding a pinch of chili powder !

Paal Payasam (3-Ingredient Rice Pudding)
There is a rather endearing practice common to almost all communities in India. At the first hint of anything positive and good in the horizon, any good news—a promotion at work, good grades in school, a college acceptance letter, news of a distant relative's pregnancy, the Indian cricket team scoring a win, doesn't matter what—30 minutes later there invariably will be a sweet dessert ready to share as a thanksgiving. In my house, it's a simple rice pudding known as paal payasam. Its a snap to make. Its not quite as thick as the English version, more like a thick soup.

Plum Apple Sauce
This sauce recipe is an equal combination of red-skinned apples and purple plums. The color is beautiful and is terrific with both pork and roasted chicken.

Pea Nut-less Butter
This homemade pea butter is the perfect nut butter substitute for a person who is allergic to peanuts. It uses dry peas, oil, and syrup for texture and flavor.
