Chinese sweet dumplings
Delicious Chinese sweet dumplings, filled with a tasty mix of sesame and ginger. Traditionally for lantern festival but good to enjoy any time.

Baked Halva
The last time I was in Istanbul, my friend took us to this amazing restaurant on the Asian side of the city. We ate mezzes and drank raki, and at the end of the meal we split a huge dish of baked halva. This is my very un-authentic yet delicious version of baked halva. It is also simply made vegan by using plant milk instead of the standard variety.

Chocolate Pavlova With Chocolate Mousse
Most Pavlovas are white and fluffy nests filled with whipped cream and fruit. This is a dark and fudgy reinterpretation, with cocoa powder in the meringue and bittersweet chocolate in the mousse on top. What was once billowing and light becomes rich and intense. Because the cocoa powder has a small amount of fat in it, the meringue here will not hold its shape as well as a regular pavlova. So there’s no need to pipe out any fancy designs, which will melt in the oven. Instead, decorate the top with fresh berries or chocolate shavings to create a showstopper of a dessert. You can make the meringue and mousse a day ahead, but don’t assemble the dessert until just before serving.

Caramelized Citrus
This is a modernized version of a dessert that was popular in Britain during the 1970s, a simple, stylish confection that was a standby of posh dinner parties: caramelized oranges. It was then and remains the sort of dish that is not particularly difficult to make, but still signals a home cook’s understanding of elegance. My recipe nods to, but is not of, that era. It calls for saffron, which infuses the sauce with its sweet-savory, haylike aroma, and for yogurt, which is a delicious partner to the fruit. On which subject, an important final note: Be careful to remove all the white pith beneath the skin of the citrus, as it is exceedingly bitter.
Winter Pears
A simple and delicious dessert to curl up next up next to on a chilly evening

Raspberry Tart
It does not get any easier than this! Plus it looks so nice.

BERRY NAPOLEAN
I love this dessert because it so delicate and very french. I love the crunchiness of the pastry with the smoothness of the whipped cream and the freshness of the strawberries.
Korean Persimmon-Walnut Roulades
The roulades recipe requires just three ingredients (no sugar) and makes a great teatime snack or healthy dessert. Look for whole dried persimmons and walnuts.

No-bake, gluten free, refined sugar free, dairy free, raw vegan chocolate macaroons. The fastest way to get that chocolatey treat you're craving.

Alfajores
Popular all over Latin America, dulce de leche confections called alfajores come in many varieties. In this popular version, delicate, crumbly butter cookies are sandwiched with a thick layer of dulce de leche before being rolled in coconut. They are petite yet decadent morsels that go particularly well with strong black coffee to cut their creamy richness. You can make the dulce de leche a week ahead (store it in the refrigerator) and the cookies 5 days ahead (store them in an airtight container at room temperature). Once sandwiched together, the cookies will keep in a sealed container in the refrigerator for 3 days, but are best eaten within 24 hours of filling.

Almost Flourless Chocolate Cake
A 5-ingredient cake recipe that I received from my mom and have always loved this cake. It has the consistency of a mousse, but is really a cake. I think it is halfway between a soufflé and a cake. It has an airy texture and rich chocolate flavor without being too sweet…. so delicious! You could use a cup for cup flour to make this cake gluten-free.

On Hand Chocolate Souffle
I googled a bunch of quick chocolate things and then used my back pocket knowledge to bake this. Me version requires an oven safe ramekin. If you don't have one on hand, I reccomend turning to google and conducting experiments like I did. Serves one hungry chef or some friends willing to share.

Mango, Cashews & Honey Filo Cigar

Brown Sugar Marshmallows
Soft, pillowy clouds of happiness with just the slightest nuttiness from the dark brown sugar. Adapted from @kitchn (How To Make Fluffy Marshmallows)- Great space to learn new things! This is a very simplified take on marshmallows and takes a slightly casual approach to marshmallow making! This recipe is so customizable! Add spices and cocoa powder to the dusting mixture or replace the vanilla extract with a cheeky liqueur like Frangelico! If I can do it so can you! @freakinthekitchento

Chocolate Peppermint Bars
A little-known fact: Creamy chocolate-covered peppermint patties are not hard to make at home. Here, the minty filling and chocolate coating are layered onto a cocoa-imbued shortbread base, which adds a cookie crunch to each bite. These keep well, so you can make them a week ahead; store airtight at room temperature. They also freeze well. The coconut oil makes the chocolate coating slightly shinier and a little more brittle in a good way, so use it if you have it. But if you don't have it on hand, you can omit it.
Pizza with Nutella
Following the article by Sarah, A Valentine's Dinner You Can Toss (and Stretch, and Top) Together, here is my suggestion for a pizza dessert.

2-Ingredient Affogato
It doesn't get any better or easier than pouring rich, smoldering espresso coffee over a scoop (or two!) of your favorite ice cream. When served with thin & crispy vanilla cookies, it makes for a satisfying and company-worth dessert. And all it takes is making a good cup of Joe.

Nonpareils
“Nonpareils,” which translates from French to “incomparables,” not only look sweet, but they’re also simple to make. You only need 3 ingredients for this recipe!

Rose Meringues
This rose meringues recipe puts a new yet classic twist on the traditional meringues. With rose water and a bit of color, these meringues are beautiful & yummy.

Coconut Bread Pudding
Laurent Torondel, the chef of BLT Steak and BLT Fish, developed this recipe for tropical bread pudding. It's rich and luxurious, but quite easy to assemble. Thin challah slices are layered on top of one another then drenched with a boozy mix of eggs, sugar, cream and coconut milk. It's baked in a bain-marie, then slid under the broiler for a few minutes to achieve a crackly-brown top.

Kamut Flour Shortbread Cookies
What better way to experience the marvelously rich, buttery aroma of organic Kamut flour than in a classic shortbread cookie. Kamut flour is an ancient ancestor of our modern wheat, containing 20-40% more protein and a heck of a lot more flavour. After experimenting with both spelt and Kamut flour, I found that it is necessary to adjust the classic ratio of butter and flour when using high absorption flours to make shortbread. An additional quarter cup of flour per cup is sufficient to provide structure without yielding a dry cookie. The final result is a melt-in-your-mouth shortbread with an entirely new flavor and texture to savor.

Chocolate Lava Cake with Chantilly & Roasted Pistachios
This Pistachio Lava Cake recipe is one of the simplest to make and one of the most delicious with only 5 ingredients that you are sure to have in your kitchen.

Cardamom Cream Cake
Layer cakes are always festive, particularly when they are four-layered, fluffy and cloudlike. This one, based on the flavors of an Indian dessert called ras malai, combines rose water, ricotta cheese and cardamom. Egg whites in the batter and mascarpone in the buttercream give the cake an especially ethereal texture, while a cardamom-infused milk syrup keeps it moist. Make sure to use cold, straight-from-the fridge mascarpone and yogurt for the frosting; it can curdle if you try to beat it when the ingredients are too warm.
