Sweet and Spicy Salmon
It is sweet, spic, moist and delicious.

Deliciously Simple Shrimp Pate
This is my go-to recipe for the holidays: shrimp pate. It's super easy to make. Not terribly expensive. Easy to transport. And my guests always love it.

Cod in Sweet and Sour Pepper Sauce
Vinegary sauce in which fish is marinated after cooking is sometimes referred to as escabeche. This one is inspired by a recipe in Yotam Ottolenghi’s cookbook “Jerusalem.” It is at once a sauce and vegetable side dish. Instead of frying the fish like Ottolenghi does, I oven-steam it, then bury it in the sauce.

Beet Relish
This was a staple condiment growing up. When my grandmother was 99 years old I called her from British Columbia and asked her for the recipe. It was a little of this a lot of that but I got it nailed. Goes great with turkey, beef, pork and freezes well in plastic bags. Great way to use up large beets in the late fall.

Torrone Sardo (Sardinian Nougat)
It's a simple, relaxing Torrone recipe. No watching of thermometers, no scalding syrup or defining moments. Just a gentle heat and slow, continuous stirring.

Simple Homemade Tomato Soup
I used Barefoot Contessa's Easy Tomato Soup recipe as my baseline, but adjusted it to make it less rich/oily.

Wintry Braised Red Cabbage, Plus Some Jelly
Oven Braised Red Cabbage is a classic recipe, with the edges slightly crisp and charred, which plays beautifully off the rest of the tender long-cooked cabbage.

Herbed Butternut Squash Chips

Blueberry creme spread/dip
I wanted to make a topping for some buckwheat pancakes that had some protein in it and used up the blueberries in the friidge - the end results was this recipe. Very tasty on pancakes or with some granola on its own.
Oven Dried Cranberry and Orange Peel Salt
This Oven Dried Cranberry and Orange Peel Salt recipe is a fun way to use up a handful of leftover berries and serves as a unique edible gift. Try it!

Butter-and-Goat Cheese Potato Purée
This recipe is a happy amalgamation of Sonali aka the Foodie Physician's Mashed Potatoes with Caramelized Onions and Goat Cheese and Joël Robuchon’s famous Potato Purée. I suggest using the best quality butter, goat cheese, and milk you can find, because let's face it -- this is sort of a dairy recipe with some potatoes in it, rather than the other way around. It really is thoroughly delicious.

The Best Pan-Roasted Potatoes
Deceptively easy, requiring only potatoes, oil and salt; the result of this stove top potato recipe is a not-too-salty, creamy, roasted-slash-fried potato.
Olive Oil Steam Fried Fingerlings Wrapped in Prosciutto
A little treat you cannot stop eating. Trust me.

Sweetpotato Pie Fruit Leather
Who doesn't love fruit leather? It's one of those kid-friendly snacks that appeals to all ages, and it's surprisingly easy to make a healthy version. Don't be afraid of the long bake time, it's completely hands off, and your house will smell heavenly! This recipe was originally created for a California Sweetpotato contest. Enjoy!

Colcannon Inspired, Spicy Asian Kimchi Sweet Potato Salad
This recipe results in something sweet, spicy, and savoury. This sweet potato salad can be made vegan with vegan kimchi (either homemade or store-bought).
Purple Sweet Potato Smash
Super Simple. These naturally purple sweet potatoes stand on their own and taste even better than they look!

Salt-Roasted Cranberry Red Potatoes with Crème Fraîche and Chives
Choose small potatoes for this recipe. They will cook faster and make a very pretty hors d'oeuvre or side dish. The bright red flesh of the Cranberry Red potatoes is striking when accented with the green chives and white cream.

Autoimmune Paleo Pesto
A Paleo Autoimmune Staple. Happy, simple and versatile. Free of cheese and pine nuts for those on the autoimmune paleo diet!

Pea and Green Garlic Soup
This might just be the quintessential spring soup--fresh peas, green garlic, and mint, pureed with water. It's incredibly light and soothing, and delicious either warm or cold.

Coconut Whipped Cream
This is the most deluxe dairy-free dessert/beverage topper ever. Its success hinges on the formation of solid cream at the top of the can after refrigeration. You can sweeten it as much as you like -- I find the coconut cream has a natural sweetness to it so I hold back a bit.
Kettle Corn
You can make this Kettle Corn recipe all for yourself. You can pile it high in a big bowl and nestle it in your lap and drink a beer with it and be happy.

Apple Chips
I borrowed the technique for these from Rivka, whose Cocoa Pear Crisps, were an early recipe contest winner. You don't need to add anything to the apples, but I often sprinkle half of them with a little cinnamon to keep things lively. Feel free to experiment with different spices like ginger, allspice, or even cardamom.

Individual, bite sized chocolate pecan "pies"
A very lazy "pie".

Gourmet Pasta Salad -
I created this recipe from a visit at The Little Travelers , located in Geneva IL. I tried one of their products a Vidalia Onion Dressing.
